HARRY POTTER

FILMS 1 - 7

Studio MinaLima is widely celebrated for its role in creating the graphic language for one of the most successful film franchises of all time, Harry Potter. Using a carefully curated and well-researched range of references across historical styles – from Victorian English design and medieval manuscripts to pop-art packaging and much more – we created now-iconic props such as Harry Potter’s Hogwarts Acceptance Letter, The Daily Prophet newspapers and The Marauder's Map. Our meticulous approach, emphasis on visual storytelling, and hugely diverse research base gave way to a magical world rich with realistic, lived-in detail that’s still cherished by millions of fans around the world to this day.

FANTASTIC BEASTS FILMS 1-3

Following the success of the Harry Potter films, the Fantastic Beasts trilogy was launched in 2016 and we were invited back into the magical world to design the graphic props for all three movies in the series. Stepping back in time to the 1920s, we combined period design with a magical twist to expand the graphic language of the franchise to new eras. As the story takes viewers around the world to New York, Paris, Berlin and Bhutan – to magical lands and 'no-maj' realms – our graphics are rooted in historical research to immerse the viewer in the wider Harry Potter universe.
